Carpet Can't Win. Tile Floor Is The Greatest Option - Part II

Tile And Carpet Cost The Same. Each One Should I Get?
Cost is not an issue, since carpet and tile will run about for the same price nowadays. With the tile you need to choose the color and install it, while carpet needs only to be nailed down with glue and cushioning. Tile requires a little extra work; scraping the old floor, grout, and laying the tiles.

A Mop, Water And Soap Will Do The Cleaning In A Tile Floor
Carpet can get spotted easy because it is a fabric-like material, it is hard to clean when something spills on it. If you have a dog or a cat, it is difficult to clean all of their hair, vacuum only is not enough. Having kids in a house with carpet is also trouble. Tile, on the other hand can be easily cleaned with a mop and soap.

High Humidity Damages Carpet Realy Fast
In high humidity states, like Florida, moisture gets trapped everywhere. It is even worse in houses with carpet. The moisture will get under the carpet where you cannot see it nor get to it. There, it will sit, and start smelling. It will also give way to black mold, which is extremely deadly, and very common in Florida.

Tile Floor Can Save You Big Bucks Along The Year
With tile this is not a problem. Carpet can also trap the heat during the summer, while tile will keep cool. If you suffer from allergies, it is recommended by doctor to have tile. Tile is a great and better choice if you have kids, pets, because of the easy upkeep it demands. Also if you have allergies and live a humid state. Overall tile is considered better than carpet.
